Just got back from Vegas today with the whole Fam! The girls had fun seeing Michael, Rachel and Karolyn who came down from Utah to meet us. Our room was amazing! We each had our own Penthouse Suite at The Mirage...did I mention it was AMAZING! I felt rich for the weekend:) It was almost 1700 SF, the bathroom was HUGE (whould love one of those for my house) and it was great that the kids could actually nap while in the hotel room, and go to bed before us which is not normally possible when the four of us are usually crammed into a regular Donaldson budget hotel room. Thank goodness for Christmas presents from parents :) Thanks for the trip, it was great!
Some highlights from the trip were:
-seeing phantom of the opera
-seeing LOVE and happening to run into.....BARRY BONDS at the show - Mike got his autograph and was surprised that nobody seemed to recognize him. He was with his wife and daughter, no bodyguards or anything. Walked in the regular entrance, and walked out the regular entrance without a problem.
-seeing all the animals at the secret gardens and being able to pet the dolphins
-walking around the hotels - minus all the nasty smoke in the air
-eating all the yummy food they have in Vegas. Carnegie Deli Cheesecake is awesome!
-seeing Natalie Cole perform - we were pleasantly surprised.
-no traffic on the way home, yeah!
The worst part of Vegas:
-I forgot my camera...why is it that I can't ever go anywhere without forgetting something?

such a fun trip! i'm jealous! fun to see all those shoes. don't you hate it how you just walk through a casino and leave smelling like smoke? no fun.
Ahh my old stomping ground. I love Vegas...It sounds like you guys had a great time! I love that place, it seems to have a little bit of everything.. even some things that I could do without--the smoke was a little annoying, it was everywhere!-- but all in all it was a great place. Bummer you forgot the camera, I hate it when I do that. We miss you guys and hope you are doing well!
