What This Kid Does Every Saturday:

Breaker gets pushed around in a stroller all morning by his "mommy" aka Brooklyn.  She dresses him, feeds him, plays with him, and even puts him down for a nap.  It's her favorite Saturday morning ritual.  I love that girl - she is going to be such a good Mom one day!

*ps - I can't help but smile when I look at this picture.  He makes me so happy!

Opening Ceremony

A few weeks ago, Brooklyn started SOFTBALL!  She is on the same team as Chloe (she loves that!) and they are the "Purple Dragons".  It's t-ball, they don't keep score, everyone bats twice then the game is over.  The only downside is, other than opening day - it's been FREEZING!!!  She told me this morning while getting ready for her game that she would love softball much better if it was inside, and let me tell you...I would too :)  

The Birthday Festivities...

 I am a give your kids cereal for breakfast kind of Mom.  I don't like to wake up extra early to make them breakfast because half the time the aren't that hungry (excuses, excuses - I know) so she was super excited when she found out I made her favorite breakfast (she's easy to please :))

We let her open her card telling her she can have her bangs cut

 Then we were off to the next surprise: the ear piercing!!!

 Then, we met up with some of her favorite people for some bowling!  Dana stayed for the "party" because Mike ended up not being able to come at the last minute and my Mom had Breaker.  I thought I would totally be able to handle it myself, but, I'm so glad she stayed.  Thanks Dana.

She chose to go to Red Robin for dinner.  Grammy, Papa and Daniel came too.  We then had another "party" with ALL the family for cake and ice cream afterwards.

I think she got the royal treatment!!!

Dear Brooklyn,

On Monday you turned six!  How did that happen so fast?  You are very mature for your age, too.  You love to help me with Breaker, the dishes, pulling weeds (your personal favorite), taking out the trash, sweeping the kitchen, the list could go on and on!  So much so that when Grammy had Yolanda come clean our house when Breaker was born, you were a little offended.  You told me to tell her not to come back because you could do it without me.  Heavenly Father knew what he was doing when he sent you to me first.  You are obedient, responsible, you strive to do good always and have the biggest heart I know.  In short, you are the perfect example for your siblings to follow.

You are an Animal LOVER, you especially love bunnies and doggies and kitties.  You are constantly memorizing phone numbers from TV commercials advertising that pets need homes.  Your favorite being the one that Sarah McLachlan sings "In the arms of an angel" while you cry and tell me we can rescue all those animals, even the ones with three legs if we had our own home right now and weren't renting (you can blame that excuse on your Dad!).  While you and Brielle do have your moments not getting along you still are very protective of her.  I heard you crying the other night while you were in bed because Brielle went to sleep with her pillow over her face and you were worried that she would stop breathing.

You are eager to learn and Whitney told Grandma that you are almost reading at a second grade level.  You have your homework packet done by Tuesday when it isn't due till Friday, and you make sure to write in your journal and finish all your extra credit so you can pick two things from the treasure box, not just one.  You are outgoing and always eager to try new things.  Your favorite thing to do at the park is the monkey bars (that was mine, too) and the only two things you asked for your birthday was to 1. get your ears pierced and 2. to cut bangs, which only proves my point that you are growing up (too fast).

I love you, your Dad loves you, Brielle loves you and Breaker loves you!  Happy Birthday Brookey Poo!

America's Next Top Models

Ok, so I stole this post from my cute sister-in-law - we LOVE her!

I had a sleepover with my nieces and sister-in-law when I was home a few weeks ago. It was a blast! The highlight of the night was the girls discovering my new camera in my purse. They insisted that I photograph them doing a modeling shoot. It was hilarious how these girls came up with different poses, props, and scenery throughout the house.

Classic comment of the night came from Brielle:
Me: "Dang girls where did you learn all of these poses and facials from?"
Brielle: "Our mommy taught us. She does them all the time."

Kim, it's nice to know that you are training your daughters well hahaha

Even Breaker joined in on the modeling fun...I think we have America's Next Top Models on our hands here!!!
