Christmas 2009

I decided to do Christmas Eve at my house this year and as crazy as that sounds...it wasn't too bad! We had both sides of the family over and it turned out really well. The kids played pin the nose on Rudolph while they were waiting for dinner to be ready, we ate dinner, acted out the nativity, read a book, exchanged a few gifts and off everyone ran. It probably will not be an every year tradition but this year it turned out great! The girls were very into leaving a plate of cookies and celery for the reindeer and insisted on adding the carrots because both Santa and the Reindeer would like those. I love that they are so into it all!

Christmas morning we hung out at our house and opened our gifts then went to the Donaldson's then the Kessler's and finally made it back home around 9 or 10 that night. Christmas isn't super relaxing when you have to make all the rounds to make but it is so worth it because we want to be able to see everybody on that day. It was all that Christmas is cracked up to be :)

The girls are waiting for the fire truck to come by...
My mom did a "princess tree" this year that ALL the girls thought was so cool! She is so creative! It went along with their gift theme (more on that another post).

Can't wait for next year!
