Do you like how my kids went sledding in a rain jacket/rain boots??? They have jackets, but not snow jackets and I really couldn't bring myself to buy them each one for basically a day of use - so I figured that as long as I bundled them up first...they would survive! I did splurge on gloves though - I know, what a thoughtful mother I am.We went up to Lake Arrowhead for 5 days after Christmas, Mike got to go boarding, we went sledding, saw Alvin & the Chipmunks: the squeakquel, relaxed and played lots of games! My house was left a total Christmas mess and once we had gotten back I somehow thought it was a really great idea to move the girls room into the toy room, and basically reorganize my whole 2nd story before I even touched the Christmas decorations & put them away. My tree may or may not have just been put away yesterday (gasp!) BUT, there have been bouts of the cold and flu that has been going around our house in my defense and I have gotten both of them. Let me tell you that having an upset stomach plus a baby kicking around in it all day long does not feel good. And this one is my most active child in my belly yet (Brooklyn is a close second though). He doesn't stop moving all day long- there is no way he ever sleeps...I'm in for it. I know.

Don't worry, we don't have snow gear in Georgia, either. I've seen tons of pictures of my friends' kids wearing rain boots for our one day of snow. Chess only got a little snow suit b/c I found it for $0.25 at a thrift store! Otherwise, it would have been PJs covered in 2 pairs of pants and 3 sweatshirts.
