Mike asked me the other day what I've been doing during the day. My reply "Nothing. It's not a problem is it?" I think he's been getting a little anxiety over the dishes in the sink, the toys on the floor, the tornado that the girls make on a daily basis upstairs, the food crumbs that "magically" appear downstairs on the carpet while I take a shower. Little does he know that's just about how our house looks everyday until about 5:00 when I normally do my round of "OK, let's clean up everything so when daddy comes home he won't be mad at us" sweep followed by "who wants to stay here and help me make dinner so no more messes get made" campaign. Lately, there has been no clean sweeps, or dinner waiting at 6:00 anymore. We clean here or there and eat what we can find in the fridge for dinner. If he's lucky, I'll make a salad for dinner. As long as I don't have to smell what I'm making, I can do it. Usually.
We have been a few places this last month which makes up for Brooklyn being mad at me on a daily basis cause "she never gets to go anywhere anymore". We went to San Diego one weekend and went to Sea World. My girls LOVE Sea World. It was fun. The kids love anytime they get to go stay in a hotel...I'm glad the Millius' let us tag along!
A few weekends later we went back to San Diego for a Pearl Jam concert. My husband and concerts. Sheesh. This was the first time I went with him to one of his concerts. I actually had fun! We met up with the Thatcher's & went with them so the company may have been a big part of it :) Brooklyn told me that she wants to move into their house because "you can just walk across the street to the beach". Wouldn't we all! Last week we went to Disneyland for the first time since summer and it was great. It seems like Disneyland is always busy. Always. We didn't get there until 6:30 pm - went on a few bigger rides, watched the firework show @ 9:30 & then pretty much walked onto every single ride until 11:30 and I couldn't walk anymore (I should have taken a nap that day!). Everyone seemed to have left after the fireworks. It was great for us. Brooklyn was freaked out after I almost made her sit next to Jack Sparrow on the tram & now won't stop talking about him, they are doing the trick or treat thing at California Adventure and he looked REALLY real.Brooklyn's new favorite hiding spot...I couldn't find her the first time she was there (don't mind the filthy toy room)

Brooklyn hysterically crying in time out, Brooklyn calming down after Mike pulled the camera out, Brooklyn smiling saying "take one of me daddy" all in about a matter of 10 seconds. She is my emotional child for sure. Emotional & dramatic. Love her!
My birthday was on Sunday & it was great. Mike always outdoes himself & got me way too much. Went to my parents for lunch, his parents for dinner - and got to eat without having to think about food all day, it was great! Thanks to everyone that made it a great day :)

Happy late birthday! I love the pictures of Brooklyn going from frown to smiles for the camera. gotta love the drama!
Seriously!!! This is the best post ever!!! Brooklynn and my daughter Aleigh could be twiners! They do so much of the same stuff! Much too old for their little britches. This series of photos CRACKS me up! "Wait....that's a camera??? Forget crying... I gotta look good!" Haa haa! THE BEST!!! :)
I'm so sorry you feel sick. Does it last the whole pregnancy for you? I think Shad forgot what I am normally like those first 3 months of pregnancy. Messy house, dirty laundry, no dinner, no treats, tired, grouchy, no talking, etc. I hope it goes away soon for you.
