Mike starts inservice tomorrow. Seminary...here he comes. School around here starts August 10th this year, so he only has a little less than a month to get prepped. We are night people, not morning people. That will probably Mike's biggest challenge this year. Good thing Merrill kind of gave him a head start on how to survive the whole starting your day early thing. I know, early to bed - early to rise. It does feel good, but it is SO hard! I don't think we ever get to bed before midnight - which works for me b/c the kids don't ever wake up before 7:30, usually they sleep in till 8 or 8:30 (don't get too jealous, it's because they don't nap! they usually go down about 9...and i'm pretty sure 2 year olds need atleast 11 hours of sleep combining nightime with naps right?) It's also hard to put the kids to bed when your house has mini blinds (they don't do a darn thing!) and they are laying in bed crying cause it's still sunny outside at 8:30pm!!!! BUT, regardless - this week we are going to try to get everybody on a better schedule so Mike (and the rest of us - so it's easier for him) can start getting to bed earlier for his fun school year coming up :)
Oh, and by the way we got an offer on our house the first day it was listed :):):) We are still crossing our fingers that everything will work out okay though!

Good luck on the house and the sleeping habits... It is so hard to get kids to bed when the sun is still out.. We had to put blackout curtains in one of the kids bedroom so he could sleep in in the morning..5 was way to early.
Oh man, I taught seminary a few years ago. Getting to bed was so hard, but I learned quickly that failing to do so would jack up the rest of my day. You'll really appreciate weekends and holidays!
i can't believe school is starting that early this year! it is crazy! i am a late night person, too. i would be sad to give up that time.
Welcome to the seminary wives club... it isn't easy... you will have lots of husbandless nights if Mike is anything like Brett. But he loved it despite being tired! And since he loved it... i tolerate it :)!
